My primary goal is to share my personal journey and experiences within the aquarium hobby with fellow enthusiasts, while documenting these milestones for future reference. Following a major technical setback in 2017, I have dedicated significant time to recreating and updating the site's features and content to ensure it remains a valuable resource.
What's in a Name?
When I first contemplated a name for this project, I considered various combinations involving my name and location for email purposes. I also toyed with names like ahli.dk to better reflect the specialized content. After operating under hojleddet.dk for several years, I transitioned to Aquainfo.dk to more accurately reflect the site's core mission: providing quality information and knowledge about the aquatic hobby.

The information presented here is rooted in my primary observations and long-term experiences as an aquarist. To maintain accuracy, I cross-reference my findings with established literature, most notably Back To Nature: Malawi Cichlids and the Mergus Aquarium Atlas. I also utilize online resources and engage with various hobbyist communities and forums.

Occasionally, I maintain a sales list for surplus fry or equipment to support the hobby's sustainability. Additionally, the site utilizes Google Adsense to help offset basic operational and hosting costs.
